First find the sale price.

32 × 15% =
32 × .15 = 4.80

That's the discount. So the sale price is

32 - 4.80 = 27.20

Now add in sales tax

27.20 × 5.6% =
27.20 × .056 = 1.52

This is the sales tax. Now add it to the sale price for the final price.

27.20 + 1.52 = $28.72
