18 acres are to be divided into 2/3 acre lots each.

Let there be a total of x lots then we can write

[tex] \frac{18}{x}=\frac{2}{3} \\
\\
\frac{x}{18}=\frac{3}{2} \\
\\
x= \frac{3}{2} *18\\
\\
x=3*9=27\\ [/tex]

Hence a total of 27 lots will be there in total.
