A box of peanut-butter crackers was divided evenly among 6 children. Each child got 9 crackers. How many crackers were in the box?

You would just multiply 9x6. This gives you 54

This answer is simple,
           you just mutiply 9 (crackers) by 6 (children) to get 54 crackers inside of the box
