how do i solve this x/2+1/3=1/2

the first step to solving this is to multiply both sides of the equation by 6
3x + 2 = 3
now,, move the constant to the right side and change its sign
3x = 3 - 2
subtract the numbers
3x = 1
finally,, divide both sides of the equation by 3 
x = 1/3
