Tim bought 5 pencils for .25 cents each. he also bought 2 packs of paper for $1.25 each. he paid with a $10.00 bill. how much change could tim receive

Tim should receive $6.25.

.25 • 5 = 1.25

1.25 • 2 = 2.50

2.50 + 1.25 = 3.75

10 - 3.75 = 6.25
